Dear Valued Customers,
We would firstly like to thank each and every one of you for your amazing patience and support during these times.
With Omicron prevalent in the community we are starting to see its effect with many of our carrier partners who are all suggesting that they are struggling to manage freight volumes. Many auckland staff are starting to test positive and isolating at home so we appreciate your patience during this time.
With COVID impacts hitting hard, we are focused on trying to keep courier items moving. As of today, 50% of our Auckland operational workforce are not able to work, parcel volumes are high and we have major gaps appearing in our Courier Fleet.
The current situation is challenging. We need customer cooperation to avoid this.
What is needed from customers around New Zealand immediately?
- Please note that there is NO shortage of stock – we have plenty . What is affected is the actual delivery of the items. We urge you – if possible – to stock up for the next coming weeks and avoid running out or place the order with buffer time.
Currently we have delays in the below locations:
North Shore & Auckland – Our North Shore & Auckland teams have a large number of staff and courier workers isolating due to omnicron. This is causing significant delays for freight in and out of the region, and these depots are temporarily to customers.
Wellington – Due to the protests at Parliament Wellington CBD we are asking customers to not send parcels to the affected areas. There are currently minor delays in the region.
Inter Island Road- Due to road works in the South Island and ferry delays we are experiencing minor delays for all inter-island parcels.
South Island Road – Due to road works and road closures we are experiencing minor delays for South Island freight.
We thank you for your help in applying these measures so quickly.
We do understand the impact that restrictions cause – we apologise, and we are doing our utmost to keep the flow of orders moving.
